For our weekly drill last night, Millwood FD members trained on rescue operations. The 20 members in attendance spent the training session rotating between 3 stations. The first station worked with AC Santone to practice deploying a 2:1 haul system, utilizing the ropes and equipment from Rescue 36. Led by 1st Lt. Harris, the second station focused on techniques for lifting and moving a patient using the SKED from Ladder 52. The third station, led by AC McCarthy trained on proper patient packaging on backboards and stokes baskets from Rescue 36 and Mini-Attack 35. A big thank you to Wild Westchester BBQ for catering last night's training!
Meanwhile, at the Westchester County Fire Training Center, FF Valdez and FF Brockliss attended the Pump Operations Class as they work towards becoming operators on all our apparatus. FF Brandoff assisted by bringing Engine 247 down to Valhalla for the class.
