At 9:30pm last night, Millwood FD was dispatched with Ossining VAC to a reported rollover accident on Somerstown Road (Route 133). Car 2253 (Chief Santone) was first on scene confirming the rollover and that the single occupant had self-extricated, conscious and alert. and that a telephone pole had been snapped with wires and transformer in the roadway. Upon the arrival of Car 2251 (Chief Rodrigues) Car 2252 (Chief McCarthy), Rescue 36 and Engine 248, the roadway was closed to traffic at Route 100 and at Vails Lane. Millwood FD units remained on scene for about an hour before turning the scene overto NCPD and Con Edison for repairs to the damaged powerlines.
