At 8:15pm Saturday night, Millwood FD Rescue 36 was requested to respond mutual aid to Dobbs Ferry on a working fire assignment. Car 2253 (Chief Santone) and a full crew on Rescue 36 responded moments after dispatch. Upon arrival on scene, the Rescue 36 crew split into 2 teams, 1 focused on filling the air bottles of mutual aid interior crews and another crew was sent to assist with fire attack on the interior of the structure. The interior crew assisted members of the Dobbs Ferry FD, Hastings-on-Hudson FD, Ardsley FD, Fairview FD, Irvington FD, and Port Chester FD with opening the walls of the structure to find hidden fire still burning. Car 2001 and the WCDES HazMat Team were also requested to the scene to assess pool chemicals in an adjacent structure to ensure scene safety. Millwood crews remained on scene for about 2.5 hours before returning to service. During this time, Car 2251 ( Chief Rodrigues ) and members at both Stations were available for additional calls.
