On Wednesday night, Millwood FD had the opportunity to host the Westchester County Association of Fire Chiefs and other local first responders for a training opportunity in propane emergencies. Employees of Platinum Propane, who has a yard very close to Station 1, taught attendees about the risks of propane and showed everyone around their truck to discuss the safeties built in it to allow the truck to pump propane, how the pumping works, and measures to take in the event of an emergency.
