Just before noon, Millwood FD was dispatched with Chappaqua VAC and Westchester EMS 45Medic1 to a reported car vs. pedestrian accident in the DeCicco's parking lot. Car 2252 (Chief Rodrigues) quickly arrived on scene and found a 2-car motor vehicle accident with a pedestrian struck, resulting in the request for additional ambulances to the scene from Ossining VAC. Crews from Engine 248 and Rescue 36 initiated patient care and hazard mitigation prior to the arrival of EMS crews. 3 parties were transported to Westchester Medical Center with minor injuries.

As this incident was being placed under control, we were dispatched to a residential alarm on Hilltop Drive. Car 2252 and Engine 248 broke away from the accident scene and were joined by a crew from Ladder 52 to investigate the alarm. After investigation, members found that it was a false alarm. All units returned to service from these incidents within an hour.

At 1:45 this afternoon, Millwood FD Rescue 36 was requested to respond as the mutual aid cascade unit to Thornwood FD on a working structure fire. Car 2253 (Chief McCarthy) and Rescue 36 were on the road moments later. Millwood members assisted members from Thornwood FD, Pleasantville FD, Hawthorne FD, and Valhalla FD with interior overhaul and filling air bottles.
