Rescue 36 Responds Mutual Aid to Multi-Alarm Fire in Sleepy Hollow

**Mutual Aid Multi-Alarm Structure Fire**
Just past 8pm last night, Millwood FD Rescue 36 was requested mutual aid to Sleepy Hollow FD as the cascade unit (to fill air bottles) on their 2nd Alarm assignment. Upon arrival of Sleepy Hollow FD units, a 2nd Alarm was immediately called due to the heavy, wind-driven fire that had already consumed a 3-story apartment building. Car 2251 (Chief Raguso) and Rescue 36 responded moments after dispatched. Operations quickly went exterior due to the volume of fire and structural stability of the building, leading to a multi-alarm assignment. Units from Millwood FD, Sleepy Hollow FD, Tarrytown FD, Ossining FD, Thornwood FD, Pleasantville FD, Hawthorne FD, Pocantico Hills FD, Valhalla FD, West Nyack FD, Purchase FD, Tarrytown EMS, Briarcliff Manor FD Ambulance Corps, Sleepy Hollow Ambulance Corps., Ossining VAC, Pleasantville VAC assisted on scene with various exterior tasks to get the fire under control. Millwood units were back in service in just over 3 hours.
