Just after 7:30 this morning, Millwood FD was dispatched with Briarcliff Manor FD Engine 94 and Rescue 37 to a motor vehicle fire on the Taconic State Parkway. Briarcliff Car 2051 arrived on scene and reported a fully involved car fire. Engine 247 arrived first due and deployed their “trash line,” which is a 100ft pre-connect of 1 3/4 inch hose line, to extinguish the fire. Rescue 36 and Engine 248 arrived minutes later to assist with overhaul, while Engine 94 took up a blocking position and assisted with traffic alongside New York State Police. Units were on scene just under 45 minutes.
