It has been a busy few months for your Millwood FD volunteers! Between April, May, and June, we responded to nearly 100 calls for service, bringing our total for the year to 182. This includes 11 mutual aid requests to Bedford FD, Chappaqua FD, Ossining FD, Armonk FD, Mt. Kisco FD, Croton-on-Hudson FD, and Montrose FD.

An average of 20 members participated in drills this month, including:
- Hoseline Deployment + Advancement
- EMS Refresher Training
- Annual Bailout Recertification
- Vehicle Extrication Training
- Rope Familiarization
- Water Rescue Training

We have 5 members who are in various stages of the NYS Firefighter 1 course and 1 member who has signed up for a Firefighter 1 class in the fall:

Millwood FD laid 2 longtime members to rest in the past few months. Our deepest condolences go out to the families of Ex-Chief Raymond Lips and FF Roy Rich.

We also hosted / participated in numerous events, including:
- Our annual company elections, adding 3rd Lt. Tom Harris to the ranks. We thank FF Arton Mekuli for his service as 2nd Lieutenant
- Our annual Inspection Dinner at Station 1
- Standbys for Hawthorne FD, Chappaqua FD, and Port Chester FD while they attended events / training
- Recruitment drive at Station 1
- Blood drive at Station 1
