Just before 11:30am this morning, Millwood FD, with automatic mutual aid from Chappaqua FD and the Mt. Kisco FD FAS Team, responded to a reported structure fire in the Random Farms development. Car 2253 (Chief Santone) was first on scene, reporting that all occupants were out of the structure and he was investigating. Upon entering a second floor bedroom, a pillow stored on the top shelf of a closet next to a light fixture was found to be on fire, was removed from the structure by Mt. Kisco Car 2281 ( Chief Hollis ), and extinguished outside.
The structure was checked for any extension, ventilated and checked for CO. The engine from Chappaqua FD and FASTeam from Mt. Kisco were then returned to service. Millwood units returned to service within 45 minutes.
