Millwood FD members spent this week's drill night focused on drafting operations. Members had the opportunity to practice setting up Tanker 15's portable pond, filling it, and pumping water from the pond through Engine 248 to handlines. This training exercise is very important for our members, as the west side of our district does not have hydrants, requiring this operation to occur quickly and efficiently at fires, as well as when Tanker 15 is requested to respond mutual aid throughout Westchester County.
