Just before 8:30 last night, Millwood FD Rescue 36 was requested on Elmsford FD's working fire assignment. Car 2252 (Chief McCarthy) and Rescue 36 responded moments after dispatch. Millwood members assisted on scene by refilling SCBA bottles for members from Elmsford FD, Irvington FD, Fairview Fire Department, Hartsdale FD and Valhalla FD who operated inside the structure to get the fire under control quickly. Millwood FD members returned to service in just over an hour.
