Just after 4pm, Millwood FD was dispatched to a reported fully involved car fire in the area of the Taconic State Parkway northbound entrance ramp. Car 2253 (Chief Santone) was first to arrive on scene and confirmed the working car fire. Engine 247 responded first due and members stretched the front bumper line to begin fire suppression efforts. Members utilized foam as well to complete extinguishment. Units were back in service within an hour.
