THREE MORE INCHES OF RAIN FLOODS MILLWOOD FOR THE SECOND TIME IN A WEEK

After receiving three inches of rain on Sunday night, three more inches of rain fell on Thursday causing another round of flooding in Millwood. At 7:57am, Millwood Volunteers were dispatched to Saw Mill River Road for flooding condition in the basement. As volunteers set up sandbags and began pumping water out from the house, another water emergency call came in at Barnes Lane. Utility 44 remained on Saw Mill River Road while Car 2253, Engine 247 and MA 10 responded to Barnes Lane. After a long morning assisting residence with flooding conditions, Millwood volunteers were back in service at 1115am.
