Just after 10:30 this morning, Millwood and Briarcliff Manor FD were dispatched to the Taconic State Parkway northbound for a reported motor vehicle fire. Car 2054 (Briarcliff FD Deputy Chief) arrived on scene and confirmed a fully-involved working car fire. Engine 247 arrived on scene shortly after and began their initial attack. Millwood and Briarcliff Manor members worked together to extinguish the fire and mitigate any hazards on the road. Units were back in service within an hour.
