At 4:30 yesterday evening, Millwood FD was dispatched to a reported van fire on Route 120 near Seven Bridges Road. Engine 247 was first on scene and reported a fully involved van fire with compressed gas canisters going off in the rear. Members set up a hoseline and began working to extinguish the stubborn fire. Upon the arrival of Engine 248, a second hoseline was pulled and a nearby hydrant was hit to ensure there was a consistent water source. Members remained on scene for about 2 hours before returning to service.
